編集後記

昨日、突然飛び込んできた貴乃花親方の引退のニュース。本人が開いた記者会見を受け、今日もマスコミで大きく報じられていますね。

その後、彼が提出したのが「引退届」であり、正式な「退職届」ではないため受理されていない、という話もあり、なんだか混乱してしまいます。

英字新聞の記事では「resign（退職する）」という表現も多く使われていましたが、意味の違いが気になったので、当メルマガではあえて「retire（引退する）」としています。

この騒動、今後もいろいろネタが出てきそうですね。
