2016年夏のオリンピック開催都市がまもなく決定されるようですね。東京の前評判はあまり高くないとのことですが、どういう結果になるでしょう。
2008年の招致をめざして大阪市が立候補したときのことを思い出します。当時、大阪市民としては割合に冷めた目で見ていましたね。
オリンピックをきっかけに大阪市の財政状況が劇的に良くなるとも思えなかったし、何より立候補すること自体にお金がかかりそうだったので。・・・で、結果はやはり落選。
今回、都民の皆さんはどんな気持ちで見守っているのでしょう。次回の英語ニュースでこのネタを取り上げようかな^^;？
