Japanese scientist Akira Yoshino has shared this year’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry with two other researchers for their work on the development of lithium ion batteries, which are widely used in mobile phones, electric vehicles, and many other devices in modern society.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency on Tuesday showed a capsule that was successfully released from an unmanned cargo spacecraft and landed in the Pacific Ocean earlier this month. JAXA collected experiment samples from the capsule for analysis.
