追跡・発掘：人里にクマ、殺すか放すか　頭悩ませる市町村／山梨　

全国でクマの出没が相次ぐ中、県内では人里で捕獲されたツキノワグマの処遇を巡って意見が割れている。捕殺か放獣か。各市町村行政は、被害拡大を恐れ殺処分を望む住民感情と、絶滅の可能性があるクマの保護との間で、頭を悩ませている。

県みどり自然課によると、今年４月～８月末に県内でのツキノワグマの目撃件数は９９件。０９年の４０件、０８年の４４件と比べて２倍以上だ。クマは、食糧となる山の木の実が不作の年に人里への出没が増える傾向にあり、今年はドングリが少ないためとみられる。

　　

編集後記

クマ出没のニュースはこのところ連日のように報じられているので取り上げてみました。確かに通りをクマがうろついていたら非常に危険だと思います。

が、山林を離れて街中に出てくるのはせっぱつまった食糧不足があるからでしょうし、クマも生態系変化の被害者といえるわけで、射殺されたと聞くとかわいそうになります。

果たして今年だけの現象で終わるのでしょうか。今後も続くとしたらほうっておけないので、抜本的な対策が必要になるでしょうね。
