東京都板橋区弥生町で２５日未明、不動産賃貸業瀬田英一さん（７４)よる刺し傷などがあることが警視庁の調べでわかった。死亡したのは瀬田さんと、妻の千枝子さん（６９）とみられる。
同庁は何者かが夫婦を相次いで殺害し、家に火をつけたとみて、殺人・放火事件として捜査本部を設置した。
編集後記
今回の資産家夫婦殺人のニュースは衝撃が大きかったです。殺害方法がむごいのと、そのリッチな生活ぶりが桁外れだったので・・・。江戸時代から続く大地主さんだったんですね。
被害に遭った瀬田さんは先祖代々の資産と不動産業を引き継いだため普通に働いた経験がなく、家賃収入等で楽々暮らしていける状況だったと聞きました。金銭感覚も一般人とはかけ離れていたようです。
でも、こういう一生の終わり方になるなんて・・・果たして幸せな人生だったのかな、と考え込んでしまいました。
